Después trasladar a la calle una de las actividades más comunes de Internet, como es compartir fotos, es hora de devolverla al mundo digital. Ya está activo el Grupo Oficial de Wallpeople en Flickr. ¿Hiciste fotos del evento el pasado 10 de abril? Añádelas a nuestro grupo y compártelas con el mundo. After moving into the street one of the most common Internet activities, such as photo sharing, it is time to return it to the digital world. Join now the Wallpeople Official Group on Flickr! Did you take pictures of the event on 10th April? Add them to our group and show them the world. As always, your collaboration is essential. We hope to gather a lot of pictures so we can remember, and discover, the best moments of Wallpeople in each city.

Wallpeople tiene como principio básico la creación colaborativa, la búsqueda de una obra artística formada por muchas mentes y diferentes manos. Tras valorar el resultado de esta primera convocatoria nos hemos dado cuenta del enorme poder creativo del ser humano, de cómo con la aportación de todos una idea puede transformarse en un gran proyecto. Wallpeople nunca hubiera sido posible sin la participación de toda la gente que, por amor al arte, habéis decidido sumaros a esta iniciativa. Es por eso que queremos dar las GRACIAS a cada una de esas personas que habéis contribuido a que esto esto sea un éxito. GRACIAS por creer en las ideas.

También queremos dar las gracias a todos los colectivos, instituciones y asociaciones que nos han apoyado y nos han ayudado a difundir la idea.

Wallpeople´s basic principle is collaborative creation, the pursuit of an artistic work created by many different minds and hands. After assessing the outcome of this first meeting we realized the enormous creative power of man and how the contribution of all can transform an idea into a great project. Wallpeople would have never been possible without the participation of all people who for some reason, has decided to join us in this project. That’s why we want to THANK each one of those people who have helped make this a success. Thank you for believing in ideas.

La expresión artística no tiene límitines. El 10 de abril diez ciudades demostraron que la interacción humana sigue siendo el eje de la creación al salir y tomar las calles para mostrar su arte, o simplemente para compartir un momento único. Muchas fueron las anécdotas y buenos momentos que compartieron los asistentes durante dos horas. Barcelona, Buenos Aires, Lisboa, Madrid, Ciudad de México, Budapest, Valencia, Roma, Nicosia y Estambul demostraron que el arte es el lazo perfecto para unir distintas perspectivas de vida y que el mejor lugar para hacerlo es la calle.

Wallpeople es una creación colectiva, por eso queremos decirle a cada persona que se acerco a pegar una foto: GRACIAS.

Art expression has no limits. On April 10th, ten cities showed that human interaction remains the central point for creativity by going out and taking the streets to show their art or to simply share a unique moment. Over two hours, Barcelona, Buenos Aires, Lisbon, Madrid, Mexico City, Budapest, Valencia, Rome, Nicosia and Istanbul shared several stories and showed that art is the perfect tie to merge different perspectives of life and that the best place to do such thing is the street.

Wallpeople is a collective creation. For that reason we want to say the following to each person who joined us and posted a picture: THANK YOU

El pasado sábado 10 de abril,  tres muros de Barcelona, Madrid y Valencia se transformaron en el museo fotográfico al aire libre más grande de España, recibiendo a cientos de personas que decidieron cambiar sus ladrillos por imágenes llenas de vida y color. Vacaciones familiares, miradas muy personales,  paisajes extraños, fotos de pareja, un graffiti perdido,  risas con los amigos, una puesta del sol, mascotas curiosas y muchas historas más se mezclaron durante dos horas para convertir una simple pared en una obra de arte única y efímera. Más de 700 personas con sus 1500 fotos, tan sólo en España, lograron crear un auténtico Flickr al aire libre del que todos pudimos disfrutar.

Last Saturday 10th april, three walls from Barcelona, Madrid and Valencia, made up the largest outdoor museum of photography  in Spain, receiving hundreds of enthusiastic people, who decided to turn the bricks into images full of life and color. Family holidays, personal looks, strange landscapes, couples, a lost graffiti, laughs with friends, an amazing sunset, pets looking at the camera and much more histories mixed for two hours in a unique and ephemeral artwork. More than 700 people with their 1500 pictures only in Spain were able to create a real Flickr in the real life.

Wallpeople no sólo busca crear el mayor mural fotográfico de cada ciudad, sino que intenta decirle a la gente que el arte esta en las calles y que las calles son de todos.

Only a couple of hours left and the emotions are already flowing, every minute of effort would be reflected today at 17hrs in 10 cities worldwide, with the simple and beautiful goal of creating and getting involved, to go out to the streets and live among hundreds of people the satisfaction in expressing yourself and sharing a unique moment with others. Bringing on their own images with special meaning for each and everyone; images full of emotion, memories, melancholy, love, pride and feelings.

Wallpeople not only seeks to create the biggest photographic mural in each city, but tries to tell people that art is on the streets and streets belongs to everyone.

SEE YOU ON THE STREET

The street is our best stage, is the space where we walk every day, play, eat, live and get involved, this makes each city to have thousands of stories every second in different corners and places. Wallpeople will be a story within these large cities tomorrow April 10 at 17 pm, join us to create this giant photo mural, which speak for all who take part in it, for the sole purpose of bringing back streets their artisitc spirit. SEE YOU ON THE STREET

Only three days left for the event, and Istanbul announce us that they join the initiative. After the initial surprise, we get down to work to get the largest photographic mural is in this magical city in Turkey. The enthusiasm of the people from Milk Gallery has had much to do. We are already 10 cities united by street art and the desire to have fun. Welcome Istanbul! Hosgeldin!

Analog photography is the main base of this Wallpeople edition, for this reason, lomo comunity must be part of the project. We hope that many of these experimental, creative and retro-style pictures will cover our particular outdoor-museum next 10th april. • El sábado 10 de abril de 2010 dirígete al lugar indicado con una o varias fotos impresas.
• La temática y el tamaño son libres, aunque no aceptaremos imágenes gigantes (1x1metro) o que puedan herir sensibilidades.
• El horario de creación del muro es de 17:00h a 17:30h y el de exposición de 17:30h a 19.00h.
• La organización dispondrá de cinta adhesiva de doble cara para que los asistentes peguen sus fotos. Aún así recomendamos que lleves tu propia cinta adhesiva para facilitar el proceso.
• Pega tu foto al lado de otra, tan solo separada por un pequeño margen. Respeta el resto de fotos.
• A las 19.00h la organización dará un aviso para indicar el fin de la exposición.
• En ese momento podrás retirar tus propias fotografías o dejarlas en el muro y llevarte la de otro participante.
• En caso de que desees que alguien se lleve tu foto puedes poner tu e-mail en el dorso para que la persona pueda hacerte un comentario, y así convertir en mural en una experiencia más interactiva.
• Las fotografías que queden serán retiradas por la organización y no serán utilizadas para ningún otro fin.

ENGLISH:

• Saturday April 10^th, 2010 go to the indicated place with some printed pictures.
• The theme and sizes are free, but giant images (1x1meters) or which may offend sensitivities will not be accepted.
• The time wall creation is from 17h to 17.30h and the exposure time from 17.30h to 19h.
• The organization shall have double sided tape to stick the participant’s pictures. Still, bringing your own tape is recommended to facilitate the process.
• Stick your picture next to another, only separated by a small margin. Respect the rest of the pictures.
• At 19h the organization will give a warning to set the end of exposure.
• At this time you may withdraw your own pictures or leave them on the wall and take one from another participant.
• If you want someone to take your picture you can put your e-mail on the back to enable the person to leave you a comment, so make the mural a more interactive experience.
• The pictures that remain will be withdrawn by the organization and will not be used for any other purpose.
